NU2’s is a non-profit organisation created in 2005 to manage the Image, Dance and New Media/VideoDansa project. This project was started in 2003 by its director, Núria Font, so as to provide continuity, through an independent association, to almost 20 years of activities produced through the Mostra de VideoDansa, and to promote the use of digital media in choreographic works.
The NU2’s project is based on research, production and diffusion of works that connect dance and the movement arts with audiovisuals: dance films, documentaries, exhibitions based on movement and the body, and stage-based works that set up dynamic, interactive dialogues between performers, images and sounds.
The main aims of NU2's are to maintain and increase production and research funding in our field; to contribute to the diffusion of works nationally and internationally; and to create opportunities for reflection and discussion around the relationship between dance and new technology.
