One of the main objectives of NU2’s is to support the creation of new work by seeking and collaborating in the production of projects that don't easily fit into existing market sectors (audiovisual, performance, art), but that we see as essential for the development of the language, ideas and formal aspects of contemporary arts.
In terms of video, NU2’s has taken over an initiative that had been organised by la Mostra de Videodansa since 1991, coordinating the annual dance films projects competition that provides production funding for three new works each year.
The competition is possible thanks to an agreement between the Generalitat de Catalunya’s Department de Cultura i Mitjans de Comunicació and TVC and is open to choreographers and filmmakers who work in Catalonia.
The series Territoris Dansa is the public television window that currently screens these works together with a broad selection of international dance films. |
